Preparations for the 110 Birthday Bash are going well. Attractions include: free bouncy castle, food and ice cream, stalls and games, Park history exhibition and history trail, and many more. Plus the presence of local Police and Derby Homes, and the chance to win a hamper sponsored by Central England Cooperative. And the Eggless Cakeshop on Upperdale Road has kindly agreed to make us a special 110th birthday cake.

Monday 2 September There’s been a bit more vandalism of late too - our notice board, the new 100m marker posts, bins and lamppsots, plus some horrendous litter over the Bank Holiday. (See below for contact details)

HOWEVER, IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THAT NORMANTON PARK IS GENERALLY A VERY SAFE ENVIRONMENT, FULL OF FAMILIES, JOGGERS, DOG WALKERS, CRICKETERS AND FOOTBALLERS ALL ENJOYING WHAT THIS GREEN SPACE HAS TO OFFER.

Thursday 1 August. Sadly, the pavilion was vandalised sometime yesterday. If you noticed anything happening, please contact the Police on 101 (there is a crime number) or email us at fofnpark@gmail.com

Sunday 30 June. FONP collected 9 bags of rubbish, mainly plastic bottles and crisp packets. Rangers must also have collected at least 6 more bags. Thanks to PC Daz Fearn for sharing photos on his facebook page.

Thanks to all who came and made this event such a success

Hope to see you at another FONP event soon.

Local Poet writes on the graffitti board….. At the June 2018 Great Get Together, Jamie Thrasivoulou did a poetry reading, and chalked a verse from his poem We Are Derby on the graffitti board. Well, someone from the Punjabi Rams spotted it, posted it on Twitter, and now, you can hear the poem at every Derby County home match. All thanks to FONP!
